Take One Picture Project 2025 - Reception

Rowan and Sycamore Class explored this year's painting, A Regatta on the Grand Canal from the National Gallery's Take One Picture programme. Sycamore class focused in on the water and experimented with mixing colours and creating movement with paint and collage. Boats and people were added in the final, Grand Canal Collage. Rowan Class explored the boat race aspect of the painting and got enthused by the idea of teams. They created team hats using wet strength tissue, rattan, paint and decorative paper accessories.
